Yesterday Microsoft published a book named 'Own your space', which is a digital book for teens. I just had the chance to scan the book and I must say I like the idea. Security starts with education, so this is a good thing. The book has a lot of background and history to explain what can happen en what you can do about it. It creates awareness and understanding. To book seems to be targeting especially young teens, but it will be good reference material for later use and for parent to help their teens to go safely online. Even though Microsoft supported this book it's not one big commercial. Of course Windows 7 is often used as an example, but the book is never trying to directly sell Microsoft stuff over other vendors. Here's the link to the download site. Here's the link to the complete book (pdf). |
