In part 5 of this series we read verse 12 of Romans 12: Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; This verse seems quite obvious. Hope, patience and prayer. The message here is how to hold on to your faith. It's a timeline: future and present. Hope for the future: if you are experiencing tribulation, rejoice for everything will be better in the future. Patient in the present: whatever comes on your path, be patient, because it will be temporary. Tribulations will end. With this knowledge it is possible to rejoice in the hope for the future. The last one is prayer. Prayer connects the present with the future. In prayer you can bring any tribulation to God, where the grounds for hope lie. |
